Marisa Marchok (Grzeszkowiak) grew up dancing at Rise and loved every minute. She graduated from Schaumburg High School in 2011. She continued to dance and teach at Rise while pursuing an Associates of Arts degree at Harper College. Marisa transferred to Western Michigan University in 2013, and graduated with a BA in Dance, and a Minor in Communication in 2016. At WMU, Marisa was a member of Hip Hop ConneXion Michigan, and Orchesis Dance Society. After college, Marisa moved to Milwaukee, WI where she taught dance, yoga, and group fitness classes. Marisa was also the proud co-owner of a dance studio in Hartland, WI where she created and managed multiple dance programs including preschool dance classes, recreational dance classes, and competitive dance teams. Marisa and her husband were married in 2020 and moved back to Schaumburg in 2024 in order to raise their children amongst family in their hometown. Marisa couldn’t be happier to return home to Rise Dance Center and teach at the studio that fostered her love for dance.

“Rise has a well rounded program, allowing dancers to train in a variety of dance genres. I was an original member of Dance Stellar Productions from 2010-2013, where I was exposed to numerous choreographers, performance opportunities, and competitions. My favorite performance opportunity was dancing in Disney World and taking class behind the scenes with the Disney Performing Arts program.”
